Billy Preston - I Can't Get No (Satisfaction)
Billy is on US TV with one of his many hair styles over the years. The girl's seem to be doing the 'jerk' dance routine. William Everett "Billy" Preston (September 2, 1946 – June 6, 2006) was born in Houston, Texas but spent most of life in Los Angeles where he gained his piano skill.
Aged ten he appeared in the film St Louis Blues. As a session player he worked with Mahalia Jackson, Sam Cook and Little Richard. He was employed as a musician by Ray Charles for a while. The Beatles used him on Get Back & Let It Be and he also had singles on their label Apple. He had hits in 60's 70' & 80's. Preston had battled kidney disease in his later years, brought on by his hypertension.
He received a kidney transplant in 2002, but his health continued to deteriorate. He died on June 6, 2006 in Scottsdale, Arizona, of complications of malignant hypertension that resulted in kidney failure and other complications. He had voluntarily entered a drug rehabilitation clinic in Malibu, Calif., and suffered pericarditis there, leading to respiratory failure that left him in a coma since November 21, 2005.
